ARIZONA: Company choreographers are invited to apply for the Wickenburg Residency for the opportunity to pursue new projects, mount work, or collaborate with other artists. Residencies take place at a historic guest ranch where artists are free from the distractions and pressures of everyday life. FINLAND: TelepArt Mobility Support promotes opportunities for Finland-based performing artists to travel and perform internationally. FRANCE: TETRALAB gathers movers (dancer performers) and makers (choreographic artists) in order to produce innovative and quality dance films. The program provides practical training that offers participants optimal filming conditions and international visibility. The screen dance workshop will take place from August 19-31, 2024. FRANCE: There is an open call for solo dancers/creators for the 8th edition of En Chair et en Son festival international meetings of dance and acousmatic music, taking place in Paris from November 20-24, 2024. GERMANY: Choreographers up to age 40 are invited to apply for a guest program for Young Foreign Theatre People conducted by Goethe-Institut, Munich, and the Federal Republic of Germany Centre of the International Theatre Institute (ITI). Grant recipients will be taken in by theatres in Germany to become familiar with production conditions and the conception and rehearsal process of at least one production. ITALY: AREAL, a space for choreographic development in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in Bucharest, is launching an open call for projects for a two-week dance residency scheduled for November 2024 in Bucharest. This pilot residency offers a dance studio and an artistic fee of 1000 Euro for projects involving two Italian artists. POLAND: IN OUT Festival is a cyclical project of the Łaźnia Centre for Contemporary Art organized since 2005. In 2024, CCA Łaźnia intends to dedicate its 16th edition to the theme of photography. RUSSIA: Innopraktika School offers a unique opportunity for choreographers age 21-35 to participate in a choreographic session with the support of the Innopraktika Foundation at The Boris Eifman Dance Academy. The purpose and mission of the session is cultural exchange. The grant covers all expenses: accommodation (4* hotel in the city centre), full board, visa and travel costs, and the cultural and training program to create a piece of 5-6 minutes. SPAINLAV Artist Residency is a project that aims to accommodate artistic creation in situ in the city of Granada, offering a space for creation and exhibition based on coexistence and community. UK: Established in 2011, Central School of Ballets MA Choreography Course is designed for professional choreographers who wish to develop their choreographic profile and professional skills. CANADA: The New Standards is a collaboration between Canadian tap star Danny Nielsen and renowned musician Dan Reynolds. Inspired by the concept of contrafacts, where new melodies are overlaid on familiar harmonic structures, the two will co-create a performance drawing on everything from traditional and contemporary jazz to R&B, hip hop, and rock. GERMANY: The Stuttgart Ballet’s double bill unites two strong choreographers of contemporary ballet. Roman Novitzky, newly appointed company Artist in Residence, creates his first major work for the Opera House stage. David Dawson will also create his first work for the Stuttgart Ballet. POLAND: The Ballet Company of The Grand Theatre Poznań presents an evening of contemporary choreographies consisting of two works by duet Sol León & Paul Lightfoot: Shutters Shut and Subject to Change, and choreography by Krzysztof Pastor in Moving Rooms. SWITZERLAND: Steps 2024, the Migros Culture Percentage Dance Festival, will showcase outstanding work in contemporary dance. Over the course of four weeks, the festival transforms Switzerland into a platform for contemporary dance featuring performances by national and international companies.
