Choreography and AI: Choreographers are continuously exploring the societal and existential questions raised by the proliferation of AI technologies, such as the future of humanity and human connection. Artists are experimenting with AI in their creative process, using machine learning, body tracking, and 3D modeling to generate new ideas, refine movements, and enhance live performances. In an article by Stav Ziv for the US publication Dance Magazine, different works present varied perspectives on AI. Suzanne Haag’s Petrushka reimagines characters as AI beings in a futuristic setting to question human emotion and identity, while Felice Lesser’s Trap Ist reflects fears of AI taking over and destroying the human race.
